Above all, we need to understand that there are different plantation shutters available on the market. Some manufacturers have caught onto the popularity of plantation shutters in recent years. They may look to cut corners in materials and/or the manufacturing processes to bring more cost effective products to the market. Do some research. Choose the right shutter, and supplier for your requirements and budget.
As an independent supplier that does not take commission to sell shutters I try to provide honest independent advice.

There is a lot of work that goes into bringing good plantation shutters into your homes and it all starts with some good old advice. Make sure you get all of the options so that you get the right look to suit your space.

Shutters are made-to-measure, bespoke products. They are usually built into your homes window recesses to provide a perfect fit and finish. The sizes, colours, frames, louvers, control methods, materials and accessories are all made to order, interchangeable and bespoke.
Manufacturing and Delivery…
Plantation shutters are not the easiest products to make.
Many years of investment in manufacturing and technology has been completed, to offer high quality, reliable and beautiful shutters to the market.
These then need to be packaged and delivered to homes without a mark or a missing screw.
Summary…
How much do plantation shutters cost?
There may be more cost effective products on the market but, premium, bespoke plantation shutters are up there in the higher cost of window coverings. Are they worth it?
In my opinion, definitely YES.
Plantation shutters are premium products that can be difficult to measure, construct and install properly.
But… they will give you years of pleasure, are very beautiful, practical and will add value to your homes.
